Reflection

                                #theendisnear

The end is near. Third grading is almost over and we had one more grading to focus with. It may be hard for us to say Goodbye because March is already approaching and we’ll going to end our last journey in our high school life. It’s hard to let go and leave our Alma Mater.

This quarter, I learned a lot. All I can say is, “Perfect! I made it!” Know why? Because, even though this grading is hard for me, I still passed it. I still understand our lessons well. I still participate well in class. Though, in this grading, I didn't join in any activities in school. I don’t know why. Ugh. -.- May be I’m lazy. Yes, I’m lazy, that’s why.  Third grading, I discovered new things that in fact I never noticed before. I never get interested to those things. But now, I started to love and get more interested to them. Those things that I discovered contributed a lot in my current existence as a student. To be honest, I’m doing a mess in my class during discussions especially when I got bored. Sometimes, I always mess up with my seatmate. I always disturb her when she’s listening to our discussion. That’s the only thing I can do when I get really bored. Though I’m making mess in my studies, I can still concentrate and listen to my teacher. Third grading may be hard but still I find it enjoyable.

The longing is yet to come. Be ready for the next journey as a student. My Alma Mater taught me a lot. I gained knowledge and discovered new things.

New Year, New Me

"New Year, New Me is a phrase you often hear on the first of January. It is very common to start a new year's resolutions but they are a great idea to give people the motivation to do something good for them.

We should let go of all our past mistakes and forget all the negativity, a new year to focus on all the positive things, a year to create new friendships and a year to believe in ourselves. New Year, new opportunities to improve ourselves.

When New Year comes, I always set New Year’s resolutions, but I always failed to achieve most. But as year passed by I have learned to follow it and make it as my guide to do better things. I want the new me is stronger, a positive thinker, has a long patience and know how to let go. My very goal this year is to change for a better version of me. This year, I will wash away all my bad attitudes and start to improve myself and continue the good doings. Hoping that I can do all this things.

The journey doesn’t end because the year did. God always gives us chance and everyday is a chance to be a better person so I will not waste every day that will come. I will grab all the opportunities along my way. I will try my best that I’m doing well and I’m improving for a “better me” not for a “new me”. Because with every improvement and change I may make, no matter what, I’m still built from that same person.

To change is not easy, it takes time. The only thing we can do is to believe in ourselves that we can do it. We should not forget what we are before, because that will be our basis in improving ourselves to someone else. The only person we should try to be better than is the person we were YESTERDAY.

Christmas

December has come and with all the joys of Christmas. But what is the real meaning of Christmas? is it the gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows, the cards in the mail, turkey dinners with family and friends, snow in the yards, stockings hanging in the living room, and shouts of "Merry Christmas" to those who pass us in the streets? Is this really Christmas?

For many people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They don't have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family and friends. Many are saddened at Christmas time when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to com home for various reasons. Turkey dinners may be only a wish and not a reality for some.

Christmas is a time to renew bonds of love. It's a wonderful time when loved ones can show appreciation for each other. It's also a great time to use that love to build bridges of understanding, acceptance and forgiveness.

Christmas is best enjoyed when it isn't centered on decorations, gifts or festivities, but when love is at its core. Love is the essence of Christmas. Christmas should mean taking quality time with your family and friends. It's about cherishing and celebrating the love you share.

Yet, Christmas can be a season of great joy. It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. You see, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world.
