I’m planning to get marries at the
age of 27 but before I enter parenthood, I want to make sure that I have a
stable job that will support them. When I will become a mother, I don’t want t
be strict t my children. I want them to see me not only a mother who is
responsible of disciplining them but also a friend whom they can run for
whenever they have a problems. I want to have an open relationship with them,
that they can freely share their secrets as they share it to their best friend.
I will give them the rights of being a child, I will give them freedom but of
course there will be limitations I want to see them growing and enjoying their
life.

My Dream My Future
Change: It Starts with Me
“Everyone
thinks of changing the world, but no
one
thinks of changing himself.”
-Leo
Tolstoy
We
always notice others mistakes, but we never reflect to ourselves. We are busy
helping other people to change but we can’t help ourselves to change. We always
say we want change but we are doing nothing. We always complain but we never
move.
Progress, starts on
change and I’m the only one who can make my life better and I’m the only one
who can control my life. We are the one’s making our life. I want to be a
better person in the future which I can say that I succeeded. It can only
happen if I choose to change for the better.
To improve is not bad; it
is the right thing to do always. Change is the only permanent thing n this
world.
We change for two
reasons, either we learned a lot or we’ve hurt too much. Don’t let our anger,
insecurities and hate changes us because we will not succeed instead we choose
to change because we want to and because this is our way of letting go of them.
From time, we can help others to lift up.

Kannawidan: Ylocos Festival
Every year, we are
celebrating Kannawidan Festival and once, lets again bring back the pat,
culture and traditions. This celebration started last January 30, 2015 and
ended on February 13, 2015, a two-week long festive celebration of happiness.
This is not only for us to reminisce the past but it unites Bigueños.
We should be proud of for this is the only city that is
preserved. I’m glad to see that even children participated and danced the
ethnic music, it means, our culture is still alive even we are here in we so
called “modern world.” They are not shy to show where they came from. They are
not ashamed to wear “bahag” that symbolizes our very own culture.
OTOP of different municipalities were displayed by these we can
see how creative they are to transform raw materials to a useful one. A simple
food to a unique one like ginger tea, squash noodles and many more, which is
not common, I bet they are all delicious. Bigueños are really
talented and unique.
Kannawidan Ylocos Festival aims to create awareness that we are
rich in culture heritage, practices and traditions that attracts tourist. We
should never forget the past, for they bring us fame. We should treasure and
preserve those for the next generations to witness how rich Ilocos Sur in
culture, traditions and practices.
