Climate Change

We people are the one who is making our sufferings and causes that makes us uncomfortable in living. As time and years passed by, our world continues to progress until it reached its modernity. But as we take the long road it causes many side effects in the health of our Mother Earth. Climate change is considered to be one of the most serious problems facing the world today.

What is Climate change? Simply, we can define it as the frequent change of the weather in a certain period. How about its deeper meaning? Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions. What are the causes of climate change? We can divide it into two categories… Natural and man made. Some of the natural and prominent causes are the continental drift, volcanoes, the earth’s tilt and ocean currents. While greenhouse gasses is the cause of man made.

We should not take God’s blessings for granted. He created us by His image and He entrusted all the things He made to us. So, we should do our responsibilities. Because in the end we are the one who will be benefited to it.

"Outpouring Hearts and Minds through Literacy and English Proficiency"

Nowadays, most of the people around the world are not using our so called “universal language” which is English. Most of us are using our own different dialects because it’s our right but we should bear in our mind that we also have the right to use our universal language.

There are many question marks playing in my mind but I couldn't answer them all, or maybe I just don’t know the answers.  What is the importance of literacy and English proficiency? But first, what is Literacy and Proficiency? Why do we need to study English language? Let me answer my own questions. There’s a lot of importance in learning literacy and English proficiency. To be a good speaker, we must know how to read and write. In learning literacy and proficiency, we must be a good listener so that we could gain more knowledge to become more proficient. Literacy is the ability to read and write while proficiency is the advancement of knowledge. We study English for many reasons. We study any language, we need to study this to have a way to articulate the things we need to desire. And in learning English, we must put it in our minds but not only in mind but also in our hearts.

We should learn to love and love to learn English. This will be our shield when misunderstanding comes between different countries. This will be our heart when everyone is out of love. Through English, We Unite!

"Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities"

Rights are not only for those who are rich and powerful. We are all humans; we all have the opportunities and so with the Rights. In our generation today, it’s unbelievable to say that we are all equal since we have a wealthy person, we also have poor individual.

We have so many differences but we are all equal in the eyes of God because he created us through his best way.

If we are talking about genders, we can’t deny the fact that many say, males is better than females. Some says, males have more opportunities than females. But nowadays, females are just like males, what males can do, females can also. So in that case, we are all equal and have the rights and so with opportunities.

If we have equal rights plus equal opportunities everyone has a chance to make his or her life better.

God treated us equal. So we should treat everyone equal.

Reflection

Every time I enter our school, I gained a lot of knowledge which I can apply to my daily life. I also discover different new things. I’m just like a plant; continue growing, like a flower, continues blooming, like a bird continues to fly high. Learning and gaining knowledge is fun. You will not only learn but you could apply this in your everyday life. Experience is a lesson that helps me to build myself and enhance my different skills.

There's only one problem that I always encounter and this is on how to budget my time particularly in my academics and extracurricular activities. In this quarter, I didn't join in any activities in school because I focused in my academics. But of course we need to be versatile for us to perform well our different tasks and responsibilities. Projects are always there making us stressed. We are graduating students so we expect a lot of things to do or to finish. But using the right budgeting of time, we can finish and handle them all. Even though the time allotted is not enough for me I can still finish and pass my requirements on time even earlier on the given deadline.

There are only few months left, I know I can still gain more knowledge, more experience, more unforgettable moments and more opportunities that will come. Second quarter has ended, we need to move on and welcome the next chapter coming to our lives.

Intramurals

                   Intramurals 2014

Intramurals means “written on the walls”, in other words; an intramural program is one that is carried on within the confines of a school or institutions.

The school is a place where students are nurtured to become a responsible and productive member of the society. It provides a complete means of moulding students to become an employee or professional, to the chosen field of endeavour they wish to engage in. Physical Education subject attempts to let the students have holistic and active lifestyle and at the same time learn life from valuing the essence of winning and losing.

Intramurals is a fun, social and competitive on-campus sports activity. It is also a great way to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and continue playing the sports you have grown to love and to develop.

Intramurals or sports competition is essential to the well-being of the students. Sports instils how to win, how to accept defeat, how to interact with other people and how to mould them to have desirable character traits that are vital in achieving success in the future.

My Teacher, My Hero

In the long road of darkness they are our light. They have lightened the candle of knowledge. Teaching is a rewarding position. It may not be a high-paying job but it can bring you fulfillment far more than your expectations.

Do you know that heroes don’t always dress in a super hero suit? A hero can wear anything and they can be as simple as we are. Everyone can be a hero, not necessarily save lives but we can be heroes on our own way.

Every day, in every door of each room we pass by, we see them teaching the young minds. Every hour, we hear them talking, giving advices on how to live and dream well. They taught us the right direction, taught us what is right and wrong, gave us knowledge on what life is.

They play a big and important role in our community as well as our lives. They gave us their time, to learn and to develop mentally, physically, and socially. They are here not only to teach, but also to love and are us. They were our second parents in school. They've been our one of the inspiration. Without them, we would have been lost.

We are really thankful to you our dear teachers, because you have shown and introduced to us the right path we should take along our journey.

I SALUTE ALL TEACHERS WHO ARE HEROES IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE! HAPPY TEACHERS DAY!

Every year, we are celebrating the Science Month Celebration. In this year's theme, "Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses towards National Wellness."

According to the internet, immunation is a play on words on AMMUNITION and IMMUNIZATION. Ammunition states that any projectiles such as bullets, rockets and etc. while the Immunization states that the fact or process of becoming immune as against a disease. The theme states that, in every disease that comes to our body, there's always so called "immune" against to this disease. The immunization is the one who is fighting or killing this disease, that's why they called it immunation. The immunation will play the role of a shield. The science clubbers will be armed against to this diseases through imparting their knowledge on how it will spread. Wellness, the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind. The clubbers will not only be benefit from this knowledge but also their community or as a nation's wellness.

Modern Day Hero

Everyone can be a hero even an ordinary people. Nowadays, there are many people whom we can consider as modern hero, all you have to do is to look around, you can find them everywhere.

A hero for me is a person that puts other people before themselves. A person who never gives up and a person works hard for others. In my whole life, there's only one hero whom I could consider, the one who understands me, when everyone does not. The one who always there for me whenever I need them, the one who always know how to sacrifice. They always sacrifices their time to have a better future. They are awake 24/7 hours just to make sure that we are safe. They are our shield when there's some might hurt us. They always help us in every problem we are facing. They are my strength when I was too weak, suffering illnesses, they are the one who always there for us. There's only one hero I am considering, my beloved parents. My always savior is the one who gave life to me, the one who supports me in my every journey in life. The one who let me see the world.

My hero is my best partners in life. I love them no matter what.

Isang Wikang Filipino, Isang Bansang Pilipinas, Ipagmalaki at Magkaisa!

Reflection

I gained knowledge through experience and in this quarter not only our lessons I am learning but also different factors that help me to build myself and enhance my skills. No pain, No gain. Before we took this topic, which is blogging, I thought its hard for me to learn this kind of lesson though I'm familiar to this. But when our teacher started to discussed this lesson I found out that it's good to learn so I participated well. Everyone can create their blog, everyone can share and post their opinions. At this grading, I learned how to create and post blogs. In other subjects, I learned a lot. The subjects Math and Physics is the most difficult subjects for me.

As a student, we should balance our studies, the academics and extra curricular activities. There's only one problem that I always encounter since when I'm still in first year and this is on how I will manage or balance my time. Mostly, I missed our lesson because of doing some activities, sacrificing what we can learn from that day. It's hard to cope up on the lessons you missed.

Learn how to be independent and learn to understand our lessons by our own, that's our responsibility when we were not able to attend the discussion. Be responsible enough and have a discipline, that's the right thing  to do and the only one that will help you.

First grading has ended. Second grading has come. Time flies so fast. I know, this grading I can still gain more knowledge, more experiences, more unforgettable moments and more opportunities that will come. We must move on and welcome the next chapter.

SONA 2014 Reaction

President Benigno S. Aquino III delivered his fifth State Of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 28, 2014, in the Session Hall of the House of Representatives, Batasang Pambansa, Quezon City.

The State of the Nation Address of President PNoy started at 4:03 PM (PST) and concluded after one hour and 30 minutes. The SONA 2014 is one of the highly anticipated date of the administration, as the head of state reports his accomplishments and plans for the country. During the entire SONA, the President received a total of 85 rounds applause. He represented the beneficiaries and recipients of the called "tuwid na daan". Many of which are really true, but the desperate question of his "Boss" (the Filipino people) is "How many among the 90 million Filipinos felt the love and the comparison of the Aquino government? How many are the chosen ones?" Many are still waiting, aiming and hoping for the warmth and sincere touch of the government.

Towards the last part of his SONA, Aquino's voice broke and he appeared close to tears while recalling the memory of his parents, slain Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and the late President Cprazon Aquino. The President mentioned one og the famous lines of his father :The Filipino is worth dying for, the Filipino is worth living for" and he added, "The Filipino is definitely worth fighting for".

The Filipino people could not just believe in whatever you say now. Please show us how a good and sincere Aquino government could change and transforms our life. We couldn't see any light now, all we an witness is political war, political instability, one against the other. We need to see, witness and experience the real transformation.

"Kalamidad Paghandaan, Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan"

Nutrition Month is the annual campaign held every July to create greater awareness on nutrition among Filipinos. The 2014 Nutrition Month Theme, "Kalamidad Paghandaan, Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan" focuses on nutrition on emergencies aims to provide rhe venue for the general public to realize the importance of preparedness during emergencies, how to respond and what recovery measures can be taken to prevent death and worsening of malnutrition of affected population groups.

We are in this modernize world now and we can't deny the fact that one of the problems we are facing today is malnutrition. Nutrition Month Celebration is a great help for us Filipino people because it gives us greater awareness on nutrition. It reminds us that every individual can contribute a little help by a little action. Try to imagine this, there's a calamity and some people suffering that calamity is unhealthy or let's say that they are malnourished and they need foods, how can we solve that problem? There's only one thing we should do, let's help them, let's help one another, there's only one word, SHARING. Sharing one another can prevent malnutrition, helping one another can prevent calamities.

TOGETHER, let's prevent calamities and malnutrition. Practice sharing, practice helping, together we can survive. Let's celebrate, let's participate and let's cooperate for the Nutrition Month.

A Letter to the President of the Philippines

H.E. President Benigno "Noynoy" S. Aquino III
MalacaƱang Palace
Manila, Philippines

Dear President,

Allow me to extend my gratitude to you and your impending victory. This victory is celebrated as a nation's triumph. I know that you have a good heart and intentions when you ran for presidency. However, good heart and good intentions alone does not necessarily make an effective leader.

It's your destiny and God-given opportunity to continue what your parents failed to finish. Your persona and your simple living and your common-sense-pronouncements have inspired the Filipino people to dream high and converted an indifferent and a political citizenry to get involved their own. Your simplicity resonates well among our people and millions of Filipinos.

We are writing a letter  to let you know that "Noynoy you're not alone in your dreams for our Country." We are with you in spirit and prayerfully desire to help you administrations and in any way or manner possible for you to achieve your dreams  for a better Philippines. You are facing a daunting task. Our country is sick, heal the sickness. Our nation is flawed, accept the flaws. Our culture is diverse, embrace that diversity. The blood of greatness still runs in every Filipino's veins, it just needs the right leadership and inspiration to unlock the dormant giant in all of us to propel our country to greatness.

God Bless You and our beloved country, our very own Philippines, as you start a very challenging six years as a President. May he continue to grant you the necessary wisdom in every decision you make. Provide the inspiration, the moral leadership and we Filipino's will follow.

Sincerely,
Fritzy Pearl P. Abad
